Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us today. Our church has been on a fantastic journey, and we're grateful for all God has been doing.
Millie and I have been married for 37 years and blessed with five adult children and 16 grandchildren. We enjoy music, movies, sports, and having fun with people. We're both originally from New York/New Jersey and came to Hampton Roads via our travels as an Officer in the Marine Corps and in government contracting 20 years ago. I have a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice/ Sociology, a Master's in Church Ministry/Counseling, and a Doctorate in Pastoral Counseling. This education is for God's service and glory.
God's journey and calling for our lives brought us to plant a church in Newport News, and after several years, we merged with another church to form The Lighthouse. We thank God daily for all the revelation and spiritual guidance provided to us for effective ministry programs for our church and toward impacting the surrounding communities.

Our Mission
At The Lighthouse, we want to meet you where you are so you don’t have to navigate life's journey alone. We want to actively 'Shine God’s light into the community through outreach and fellowship, lead others to the knowledge of Jesus Christ, and equip disciples for their spiritual journey.'
We want to be a haven where you and your kids can experience God, be equipped for His service, and have families empowered and strengthened in love.
Our objective is to be a vibrant worshiping fellowship, guided and empowered by the Holy Spirit, to share Christ within the church and community in faithful obedience to God and His Word.
Our Beliefs
We are a nondenominational, multiethnic, and multigenerational church. People at The Lighthouse are at different stages in their Christian walk and spiritual experience. None of us claim to have arrived, so we continually seek to pursue a deeper relationship with God.
Come as you are! We'd love to have you join us for one of our Worship Services. Contemporary service is on Sundays at 10 a.m., and Traditional service is at 11 a.m. Additionally, you can connect in one of our many ministries, from hospitality to praise and worship to Bible studies. Your kids can also have their own experience with God within our Kids Church and Impact Youth Ministries!
The journey is just as important as the destination.

Our History
The Congregations of Parkview and Crossroads have a long history of serving communities by sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ within Newport News and the surrounding areas. Each church has its methods, but the synergy between these two churches over the last five years has been complementary. We believe merging resources, assets, ministries, and personnel will strengthen our united mission of “making disciples” toward transforming the world.
